PurposeThe purpose of this course is to focus on developing and implementing culturally and socially diverse curriculum, pedagogy and policy in K-12 educational settings. Examine current research and practices related to pluralism in education (this is what the Catalogue says). We will briefly revisit the history of education for the dominated groups, and then develop a conceptual understanding of pluralism in education. Every student will have to consider implications of this understanding for his or her professional practice. Please see MAT Program Outcomes if you are in that program. Reference style
